There are many different ways of receiving financial support for childcare cost these include:
2 year funding- provided by the government and is means tested. Allowing 15 hours per week of free childcare from the term after your child is two years old. To check if you qualify for this funding simply make an application on your local council website
15 hour funding- provided by the government for all children the term after their third birthday. This is not means tested and is available for all. Once you have chosen a nursery, they will be able to complete the required documents
30 hour funding- provided by the government for children the term after their third birthday, is also means tested and was put in place for working parents. To check if you qualify simple apply online at www.gov.uk
Childcare choices tax free childcare- provided by the government for working families for every £8 a family pays in the government will pay £2 up to £2000 per year per child. https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
Childcare vouchers- generally provided by employers, putting away a maximum of £243 before taxed in to an account direct to the childcare provider.
