Homely Feel
Chelmsford was founded in 2024. We have made the nursery homely with natural resources. Each room has its own feature. Many children spend lots of time with us, so it is important that they feel at home and settled in their learning environment.
Natural Resources
Natural Resources
Our setting is equipped with natural resources to encourage the children to explore their own interests and build new ideas. Each resource can be interpreted and used in different ways, bringing in imagination and creativity.
Outside Area
Outside Area
There is a large outside area where children can explore many different skills. It will also encourage new interests and opportunities. There is also a gardening area where the children learn to care for a nurture plants.
Homely Environment
Homely Environment
Our nursery has a homely feel to ensure that every child feels comfortable in their learning environment. We have used natural colours throughout, with rugs and natural furnishings to provide a calm feeling.
Exciting Exploration
Exciting Exploration
We are very lucky to have a lovely surrounding city centre with a local park and green areas as well as exciting places to visit such as the library, cafes and shops. The children have opportunities to explore these on local walks.
Laptops
Laptops
We have laptops available in the Little Leaps and Big Steps rooms for the children to develop their technological skills. They will learn how to navigate using a mouse, track pad and keyboard.
Tablets
Tablets
The children are able to access educational games through apps installed on our tablets. This will enable the children to further develop their technological skills, alongside understanding how to navigate around an Android tablet, and use a touch screen during their day at nursery.

Starting Steps
Age Group: 6 weeks — 1 yearPlaces: 6
This comforting and safe home from home learning experience has so much opportunity for children aged 6 weeks to around 1 year. Starting Steps is set on a flexible routine to incorporate as much as possible into your child’s day. The environment is very calming and everything is kept at lower levels in order to encourage the babies to begin moving around and exploring the different areas of learning around them.
